The commitment that the NY Nativity Centers make extends beyond our students’ eighth-grade graduations. A Director of Graduate Support Services works to match each eighth grader with New York’s finest Catholic and private high schools, as well as a number of boarding schools along the East Coast. NY Nativity Centers also provides scholarship assistance throughout their years in high school, offering tutors for graduates and hosting seminars that address issues that face inner-city adolescents.
Juniors and seniors will receive assistance filling out college applications and can participate in an SAT-prep course and college visits. We also assist their families (many of whom do not realize that college is a viable possibility for their child) with the financial aid application process. This is extremely helpful for many of our students, as they often are the first in their families to attend college.
