We are so grateful to all of you were able to attend and to those of you who were there with us in spirit.  This year's event raised close to $85,000, and we could not have done it without your support!  Thank you for helping continue the work of Nativity.

NMC Graduate Reflects on his time at Nativity

“After graduating Nativity and coming to Loyola I realized how much Nativity had done for me and where I had gotten because of it. I saw how it takes kids that really had no chance of making it and gives them opportunity and hope.” – Genaro Mancera ‘04

NMC Hosts 2007 New York Nativity Basketball Jamboree

On Saturday, March 3rd, basketball teams from the three Nativity Schools all converged upon the Xavier High School gym for what has become an annual tradition.  The Saint Ignatius Eagles, Brooklyn Jesuit Prep Bulldogs, Nativity Knights and Nativity Tyros gathered for the 2007 NY Nativity Basketball Jamboree.   The competition was fierce and sportsmanship high as each team squared off against the others in a round-robin style tournament.  In the end, it was the Nativity Knights facing the squad from Saint Ignatius School in the championship game.   While it was nearly tied for most of the game, the Eagles put it away at the end to take home the title.  The day was not complete without a giant, 50-student game of knockout which was won by Michael Vasquez of Saint Ignatius School.   At the end of the tournament the teams enjoyed some pizza and soda together and walked away with a t-shirt for each student and a trophy for each school.
